Whole Foods Market has had the most FDA food recalls since June 2012, 64 through October 7, 2026, followed by Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. (41) and The Kroger Co (40). The chart ranks the 1,256 companies with at least two recalls; search it for any of them, or pick one to see every recall. Each recall counts once, under the company FDA lists as the recalling firm, so a parent company's brands and names spelled another way are counted apart. A big grocer or maker sells more products, so more recalls don't by themselves mean less safe food. Meat, poultry and most egg products are USDA's to recall and aren't included.
