Terms of Use

Last updated September 25, 2026

Chartly (chart.ly) is a free library of charts built from public data, run by Nimble Labs LLC. By using it you agree to these terms.

The data

Every chart names its source, its license and the date of its newest data. The numbers belong to those sources and are shared under their licenses: U.S. government data is public domain, and sources such as the World Bank and nflverse ask you to credit them. When you reuse a chart's numbers, follow the license shown on that chart and credit the original source.

Using our charts

You're welcome to share links to charts and to use them in classes, homework, articles and presentations. When you do, please credit "Chartly" with a link to the chart, alongside the original source. Chartly's design, code and wording belong to Nimble Labs LLC.

Accuracy

We chart what each source publishes and link to it so you can check. Sources revise their numbers, and we can make mistakes. Charts are provided "as is", for information only, without any warranty, and they aren't financial, medical, legal or other professional advice. If you spot an error, please tell us.

Accounts

An account is optional. Keep your password to yourself, and don't use Chartly to break the law, overload the site, or scrape it faster than an ordinary reader would. We may suspend accounts that do.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Nimble Labs LLC isn't liable for any loss that comes from using Chartly or relying on its charts.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above shows when they last changed. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect.
