How has crime changed in North Dakota since 1985?

Police in North Dakota reported about 240 violent crimes per 100,000 people in 2025 (U.S.: 329), down from a high of 336 in 2020, and 1,495 property crimes in 2025 (U.S.: 1,552), down from a high of 2,869 in 1992.
