How has crime changed in Hawaii since 1985?

Police in Hawaii reported about 214 violent crimes per 100,000 people in 2025 (U.S.: 329), down from a high of 296 in 1995, and 1,682 property crimes in 2025 (U.S.: 1,552), down from a high of 6,935 in 1995.
