Police in Alabama reported about 353 violent crimes per 100,000 people in 2025 (U.S.: 329), down from a high of 864 in 1991, and 1,501 property crimes in 2025 (U.S.: 1,552), down from a high of 4,515 in 1991. There's no figure for 1993–1995 and 2019–2020, when police departments covering fewer than 3 in 4 of its people reported a full year. Rates count only the agencies that reported.
