Which companies get the most consumer complaints?
The three national credit bureaus, Equifax (1.68 million), TransUnion (1.60 million) and Experian (1.39 million), drew 86% of the 5.44 million complaints the CFPB received in 2025. Block, which runs Cash App, came next with 48,091, then Capital One (34,102). Complaints aren't verified, and bigger companies with more customers naturally get more; most adults have a file at all three credit bureaus. Complaints count under the company the person named, so a bank's parent and its card business may appear separately.
