Which U.S. banks hold the most deposits?
JPMorgan Chase Bank held $2.82 trillion in deposits at the end of June 2026, the most of any U.S. bank, followed by Bank of America ($2.12 trillion), Wells Fargo ($1.56 trillion) and Citibank ($1.55 trillion). Together those four held more than the other 21 of the 25 largest banks combined. Deposits are each bank's total, including any at its offices abroad, from its latest quarterly report to regulators; a bank is one legal company, so a group with several banks appears once for each.
