How much of US electricity comes from nuclear power?

Nuclear power made 17.7% of US electricity in 2025. Its share grew from almost nothing in 1960 to 19% by 1990, peaked at 20.6% in 2001, and has slipped slowly since as total generation grew. The 2025 figures are preliminary.
