In 2025 natural gas made 87.5% of Rhode Island's electricity and over 70% in Delaware, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Florida and Louisiana. Across the US it made 40.8%; Vermont and Hawaii made almost none. Each bar is gas's share of the electricity generated in that state; the 2025 figures are preliminary.
