In 2025 nuclear power made 56.4% of New Hampshire's electricity, 54.2% of South Carolina's and 50.5% of Illinois's, against 17.7% across the US. Only 28 states generate any; the other 22 and D.C. have no nuclear plant. The 2025 figures are preliminary.
