What is the typical home worth in each state?
In the Census Bureau's 2020–2024 survey, the typical owner-occupied home in Hawaii was worth $839,100, the most of any state, followed by the District of Columbia ($737,100) and California ($734,700). West Virginia was lowest at $162,600, and the U.S. median was $332,700. Values are what owners estimate their homes would sell for, over five years.
