In 2025, Liam lost more babies than any other name: 20,818 boys, 1,434 fewer than in 2024, though it was still the most popular boys' name. Dylan (boys) fell by 1,279, and Olivia, still the top girls' name, by 1,228. This compares each name's babies with the year before, girls' and boys' names together. Social Security leaves out any name given to fewer than 5 babies in a year.
