Which sponsors post their clinical trial results?
Of the clinical trials completed from 2008 to 2024, 45.4% of those led by companies and 60.9% of those led by the U.S. National Institutes of Health had posted results on ClinicalTrials.gov by September 2026, against 19.6% for universities, hospitals and nonprofits. U.S. law requires results mainly for U.S. trials of drugs and devices past Phase 1, so many trials, including most outside the U.S., don't have to post here; some publish results in journals instead.
