How much has Apple spent buying back its own stock?

Apple spent $90.7 billion buying back its own shares in its fiscal year ended September 2025, and about $816 billion in all since it began in fiscal 2013. It bought back none in fiscal 2011 and 2012. Buybacks return cash to shareholders and leave fewer shares, so each remaining share owns more of Apple. Figures are from Apple's cash flow statements as first reported in each annual report to the SEC.
