Every month from September 2025 to August 2026 was warmer than its 1901–2000 average across the contiguous US. March 2026 stood out, 9.4°F above the March average; May 2026 was closest to normal, 1.5°F above. Each bar compares a month with the same month's average, so a warm January and a warm July are measured alike.
